I had the same problem...
The installer wasn¹t creating a separate /boot partition outside of the LVM
group.
Created /boot manually, life was good, booted fine.
Other problems with F10 on Dell PE 2800/2900 Series.
Switched to CentOS 5.2. Life is good.
