IO error issues with MD3000i on Linux

I've now got 'yet another problem' with my md3000i multipath. Not the
Dell mpp driver running. Fail over worked, etc...
Now A RHEL update comes a long, upgrades the kernel, reboot, now the
mpp driver doesn't load. Only I don't notice this immediately - as the
system mounted a raw non mpp device. Only when I 'redistribute' LUNs
does the server fail...
I though the idea of dkms was that the module would re-compile as needed.
Now looking in my demsg log I see
mppVhba: Unknown symbol mppCmn_SynchronousPRIo
mppVhba: Unknown symbol mppCmn_MapBusDeviceReset
mppVhba: Unknown symbol mppCmn_CheckForReservationHolder
mppVhba: Unknown symbol mppCmn_CheckAndSetTASBit
mppVhba: Unknown symbol mppCmn_MapBusDeviceResetV
etc, etc.
So the mpp module failed to load into the new kernel...
I hope since MD3000i rdac is making its way into the mainline kernel,
this pain will go away..
