connecting a MD1000 to an MD3000

Hi everyone.

We want to add an MD1000 behind our MD3000. Is it possible to add the  
disks from the MD1000 to a RAID array on the MD3000? If so how? Is it  
a straightforward install through the GUI tool from Dell?

I also would like to know if there is a chance of data loss when doing  
it?
