I'd recommend having a 64-bit install disc handy. From what I've
found, if the processor can't support it, the hardware will tell you.
Unless someone has killed equipment from attempting a 64-bit install
on a 32-bit system, there shouldn't be any reason not to try it.
Either the hardware will complain early in the process, or you'll get
lucky and it will work.
