Dell's Nagios Plugin

Sorry I didn't see this reply at first.
The plugin has always been working fine for me from the commandline, it has just been when I try to run it from within Nagios that all I get is (null) as output.
Rather that trying to hack OMSA 6 onto the machine, I've decided to go with one of the myriad of other plugins that are available. In reality, these are often just wrappers for SNMP (well, Dell's is for a start!) and I could just go the direct route and use check_snmp. I had thought that an official command would have been better and easier, but so far it has taken up a lot of time without much progress and I can't help but feel it is time to move on.
Thanks for the help though - and you never know when that OMSA 6 on unsupported hardware tip may come in handy.
Regards,
Mark Baxter

Hi,
Are you getting "no values" from all OMSA readings?
E.g like this if you run it manually?
# cd /usr/lib64/nagios/plugins/
# ./dell_health.py --hostname localhost --system-health
Overall System Health: No value available
# ./dell_health.py --hostname localhost --processor-data
Processor Information: No values available
What does the content in /var/tmp/nagios/ contain?
I had the same problem. In my case the Nagios Plug-In worked perfectly
with OMSA 6.x, but on nodes with OMSA 5.5.x I got the error above.
I ended up forcing OMSA 6.x onto a PE2950 just to test, and to my
surprise it all started to work. I then removed OMSA 6.x and installed
the supported OMSA 5.5.x again, bigger surprise everything still worked.
I even reinstalled the PE2950 and the Nagios Server but this time it all
worked.
Mark,
If you want to try to install OMSA 6.x on a OMSA 5.5.x system run the
installer like this # OMIIGNORESYSID=1 ./srvadmin-install.sh
