Hi everyone,
Not sure if this is the right place to post my question but I was
intending to install Debian Etch on this server.
I bought a used 2650 off eBay for £70 and wanted to make it into a
development server for myself. However, it seems to stay in standby
state.
When I initially connect the power to the server, the LCD panel comes to
life with no errors and the power led flashes green which according to
the manuals mean its in a standby state. However, when I press the power
button all the fans come on and the server starts to levitate, but
there's no power to the CD drive, no hard drives spin up and there's no
signal on the monitor line, but the green power led still carries on
blinking green which implies it's still in standby. Does anyone know how
to kick it out of standby or does it just mean that I've wasted my
hard-earned beer money??
Any help would be appreciated.
