I've just upgraded the firmware for a DRAC 4/I in an 1850 from v1.33 to v1.61
I used the RAC_FRMW_LX_R196903.BIN linux binary, and it completed
successfully.
Using IE7 on Windows XP, with Sun Java 6u11, whenever I login to the HTTPS://
interface and try to choose the "Media" link, I get the following:
---
A DRAC 4 error has occurred.
Description: The Virtual Media ActiveX plugin is not installed or running.
Error Code: 0x00000001
Resolution:
- Ensure that you have administrative rights on this system in order to
install the plug-in.
- Click the Virtual Media link again. When prompted with a security warning
asking if you want to install and run the Virtual Media plug-in, click "Yes".
- Verify that your browser settings allow downloading and installing ActiveX
controls and that the browser security level is set to "Medium" or lower.
- Verify that your browser supports Virtual Media. Please consult the DRAC 4
user documentation for a list of supported browsers.
---
I see a "This website wants to install the DRAC 4 Virtual Media Plug-in" bar,
to which I click "Install", and I'm immediately dumped back to the DRAC login
prompt.
Does anyone else see this, and/or know a workaround?
Mark.
