OMSA problems on PE1900

Hi,

regarding the problems with OMSA and ipmi, I have a few questions to
ask on PE1900 systems:

I'm running CentOS 5 with the Dell repos set up and srvadmin services
working as expected.

I'd love to know if it is possible to get a complete report on system
fan speeds and temperatures on PE1900 via ipmitool or omreport AND
adjust the values?

currently when i run "ipmitool sdr type Temperature" i get the
following output:

Temp | 01h | ns | 3.1 | Disabled
Temp | 02h | ns | 3.2 | Disabled
Ambient Temp | 08h | ok | 7.1 | 28 degrees C
CPU Temp Interf | 76h | ns | 7.1 | Disabled

and when i try to set the fan speed and temperature alerts with
omconfig, for example with "omconfig chassis fans index=1
minwarnthresh=1000", i get the following error:

Error! Minimum warning fan threshold setting unavailable on this probe.

I've been googling around for a long time and want to know *for sure*
if this is a restriction of the PE1900 hardware or a software
misconfiguration.

It would be really nice to get a reading of the CPUs instead of just a
generic chassis ambient temp, and to control the fan warning
thresholds. I've found no documents stating if the sensors 01h,02h and
76h even exist on the system, but I'd sure as heck assume there is
some kind of temperature probe on Xeons too. Too bad lm-sensors is of
no use in this case.

Can anyone confirm my findings and provide some clarification on the subject?

Best regards,

-Otso Helenius
