Cory,
I don't know this is applicable, however I have had to install
'firmware-bnx2' on a few of my Dell servers to enable NIC functionality.
I am pretty sure this is going to be in the 'non-free' repo.
Good luck.
Ryan

Subject: Debian Lenny on R710
Has anyone else ran into issues with Linux on the R710. I'm running
single 2.0x4 core proc and the Broadcom 5709 NICx4. I have no problems
with my Dell 2950 with the Broadcom 5708 NICs.
The error that dmesg shows when loading the bnx2 driver is:
Broadcom NetXtreme II Gigabit Ethernet Driver bnx2 v1.7.5 (April 29,
2008)
bnx2 0000:01:00.0 Cannot find PCI device base address, aborting
I'm assuming that this something PCI related since the PERC6/i
controller isn't being recognized either. To get around this I tried
the basic combination of kernel arguments pci=noacpi, acpi=noirq,
pnpacpi=off, noapic and nolapic with no change.
Any ideas? I'm currently running Debian Lenny with the 2.6.26-2-amd64
kernel.
Thanks,
Cory
