libsmbios-2.2.16-2.1.el5 from dell-omsa-indep repo breaksdependencies in Centos 5.3

Yes, The list of prereq rpms for the system-specific repo has changed
from:

firmware-addon-dell-2.1.2-1.1.x86_64.rpm
firmware-tools-2.1.2-4.1.noarch.rpm
libsmbios-2.1.0-1.1.x86_64.rpm
smbios-utils-2.1.0-1.1.x86_64.rpm

To

libsmbios-2.2.16-2.1.el5.x86_64.rpm
python-ctypes-1.0.2-1.2.el5.x86_64.rpm
python-smbios-2.2.16-2.1.el5.x86_64.rpm
smbios-utils-python-2.2.16-2.1.el5.x86_64.rpm      

It looks like the old smbios-utils (2.1.0) is not compatible with the
new libsmbios (2.2.16)

I see a few solutions:

1. Leave the old libsmbios 2.1.0

2. Remove smbios-utils and, either install smbios-utils-python or re-run
bootstrap: 'wget -q -O -
http://linux.dell.com/repo/hardware/latest/bootstrap.cgi | bash'

3. Configure the community repo: http://linux.dell.com/repo/community/
which holds the latest version of all of the above.

4. I'll pull the newer smbios-utils and smbios-utils-bin from the
community repo, and copy to the hardware repo.

I'll go ahead with 4 anyway, but all should work.
