Garbage on SOL console (PE1950/lenny)

Hello,

I have set up SOL on some PE1950/Debian lenny (BMC, not DRAC), it
works ok, I can access the serial console remotely via ipmitool.

Problem is that when I'm not connected to the SOL console, it often
gets garbage characters which are logged as a failed login attempt

Auth.log is full of lines such as :
pam_unix(login:auth): authentication failure; logname=LOGIN uid=0
euid=0 tty=ttyS1 ruser= rhost=
FAILED LOGIN (3) on 'ttyS1' FOR `UNKNOWN', User not known to the
underlying authentication module

My config is :

### BMC / Bios

#omreport chassis bmc config=serial

Attribute : Connection Mode Setting
Value : Direct connect Terminal mode

Attribute : Baud Rate

### GRUB config ###

/boot/vmlinuz-2.6.26-1-amd64 root=/dev/sda1 ro text console=ttyS1,57600

Inittab :
T1:23:respawn:/sbin/getty -L ttyS1 57600 vt100

I tried to lower baudrate to 19200 but it didn't help ...

Anyone is having the same problem ?
