Very odd boot delay... BMC problem?

Could be completely off course here, but could it be an fsck of the
partition that slowed down the boot? I don't remember off hand where
exactly in the boot process fsck kicks in. Default setup for
filesystems has a flag that filesystem should be checked every so
often. Check the values of "Last checked" and "Check interval" of
tune2fs -l /dev/md-0 on both "slow" and "quick" systems.
