unable to apply firmware update to 4e/di on 6800's

Also the 2800's have the exact same error. Anyway, running Centos 5.3
on a PE6800, both i386 and x86_64 get the same error. Any idea's?
Google searching isn't helping me find what the -A attribute does to
chmod or basename.
