I actually had to deal with this one for another department that didn't
have the time to look into it.
The base OS was a revision of CentOS that was based on RHEL 3, and the
only real problem I could see with my limited testing was that the PERC
6/I was not seen by the system due to a missing kernel module.
I was able to hack together a driver disk for this using the Dell driver
disk for RH 4 as a base.
IIRC, the biggest issue was that the files that contained the PCI ID's
had some incorrect characters (I think it was a tab had been replaced
with spaces). Once I corrected that and tweaked the directories to
match the kernel version (it was off by a patch number), it detected the
card and RAID volume.
