PE2950 III hardware supported by RHEL 3?

Hi,
I had to do the same (moving from obsolescent hardware to fresh one) and did it with vmware server (the free one) on a fresh CentOS/RHEL install. I did not have to worry about the underlying hardware as it's all emulated by vmware.
