Is very long and difficult for me (my english is not very well)
elaborate this. :)
In few simple word...
I use Debian. My omsa is a porting. Personally I have had problem (and
as me many other people over the Internet) with SNMP and NAGIOS.
After various days in trouble and many time spend to configure and
test SNMP I have take the NRPE way.
As I have said below (this is obviously my personal opinion) NRPE work
perfectly and better than SNMP from the beginning and it is more
simple, flexible and lighter.
I know that SNMP is older then NRPE and it is a standard, but if the
NAGIOS team decided to develop NRPE probability there is a good
motivation. A plus of NAGIOS is that it work both NRPE and SNMP
protocols.
The only limitation of NRPE Vs. SNMP is the compatibility with more
peripheral, but if you use a Dell Poweredge server with Omsa or an
hardware that have a NRPE plug-in all is simple and this is my
personal case.
