Dell Poweredge 2950, IPMI and remote console

Yes, that would have been the next thing I mentioned.  I run all my sol 
consoles at 57600 so here is my configuration from /etc/inittab:

  co:2345:respawn:/sbin/agetty ttyS1 57600 vt100-nav

I don't have the dell deployment tools installed in the box on I'm 
looking at (and I have dell do a custom bios before delivery) which sets 
com1 to 57600.  I think you should be able to set that though with DTK.
