Etch amd64 + perc6/E RAID arrays + clustering (heartbeat)

Depending on what kind of throughput you are going to be pushing - you  
could use DRBD http://www.drbd.org/

I have used it quite a bit - for MySQL databases.  It works extremely  
well - and it looks like they've even updated the docs and webpage so  
it won't be NEARLY as confusing to get it going as when I was first  
learning it.

DRBD is block level network replication.  Sits between your partition  
and your filesystem.
