Steve,
Looks that way, but I like to see the PERC's TTY log to confirm. A
reseat may bring you joy, specifically on the capacity front.. if you
want to send the log to me I can check it out for you..
Regards,
Nick

I have an MD-1000 shelf with 15 300 GB SAS 10k drives. The last drive in
the array is a global hot spare (18 months old but never used for data),
is spinning, and shows a yellow light. omreport says:
ID : 0:0:14
Status : Unknown
Name : Physical Disk 0:0:14
State : Unsupported
Failure Predicted : No
Progress : Not Applicable
Type : SAS
Capacity : 0.00 GB (0 bytes)
Used RAID Disk Space : 0.00 GB (0 bytes)
Available RAID Disk Space : 0.00 GB (0 bytes)
Hot Spare : No
Vendor ID : DELL
Product ID : ST3300555SS
Revision : T106
Serial No. : 3LM0EPA2
Negotiated Speed : Not Available
Capable Speed : Not Available

Manufacture Year : Not Available
SAS Address : 5000C50001ECD221
and I don't appear to be able to do anything with it. Is it dead?
