Hi Eduardo,
I've checked the 1400SC BIOS, it looks like the only relavent option
here is "boot device" (most PE BIOS's nowadays also have HDD boot order
also)
You should be able to disable items in the list with SPACEBAR and use
the +/- keys to change the order.
What items are in the list? Are there 2 items listed for disks or do you
have only 1 disk listed there?
Is the RAID 5 from a CERC/PERC controller or is it software/LVM RAID?
Regards,
Nick

Subject: After disk upgrade linux stopped booting
Hi!,
At my office I have a PowerEdge 1400SC, at the time I bought it came
with a 3 disks RAID-5. It worked ok, but now we are trying to add one
IDE disk(as the server motherboard came with an optional IDE port).
So... after we connected the disk, the server couldn't boot...
obvious, there's no OS installed on the new disk. If I disconnect the
IDE disk, the machine can boot again. I tried to find some
configuration on the BIOS about this but didn't find anything helpful.
any advice?
thanks in advance,
regards,
