Apparently mileage varies. We've had great success with autonegotiate on
Cat 5x00, 29xx, (and 37xx, 4506s, and 6509s). But if one side is set to
auto and the other hard-set, look out. You usually end up with
half-duplex and throughput like sucking oatmeal through a straw.
