Hi,
I have a problem with AER support on Dell PowerEdge R300 running Linux kernel 2.6.25.4
I have installed a PCIe Bypass Network card in a Dell Power Edge R300.
Y have compiled the kernel with PCIE options enabled:
CONFIG_PCIEPORTBUS=y
CONFIG_HOTPLUG_PCI_PCIE=m
CONFIG_PCIEAER=y
And I have these error messages in dmesg:
AER service couldn't init device 0000:00:02.0:pcie01 - no _OSC support
It seems that BIOS doesn't have BIOS _OSC support enabled. So the PCIe errors can't notificate the information propoerly to the kernel AER support.
Do you know something about this?
Have you seen this AER error sometime?
Can be caused by a PCIe controller Hardware error?
At same time we got this errors in dmesg, we have seen "no link" events in the network card.
Best regards,
Victor.
