Yum is disappointingly brittle when it comes to dealing with metadata,

Any ETA for this?
Currently, both "yum check-update" and "yum-updatesd" (with or without
--oneshot) die if the fwupdate repo is enabled. I can disable the
repo on all of our servers, but I'd rather not go through the CM
effort to do so if the problem is going to be fixed shortly...
