Help with md3000i scripting?

Hello to all:

Could I please gain assistance and wisdom from the group regarding 
scripting Snapshots?   I have a copy of the Dell CLI guide, but some of 
the examples are a bit vague, at least until I get a better handle on how 
the formatting works.

I request help scripting snapshots for 2 x RAID 5 sets of 3 disks each.

Next question - how do I invoke the scheduling?  Via cron?

Finally, preparing the 3000i for these commands, when the documentation 
says stop all I/O, does that simply mean to log out of the box?  If not, 
what specifics need to be done?

I'm using CentOS 5.2 64-bit.
