This is on a Poweredge 2900, upgraded from PERC5/i to PERC6/i. The 4
physical drives were assigned as a RAID5 with global hotspare. No
problems were seen after the adapter was swapped. (OS is openSUSE 10.3,
no problems seen installing or running OMSA suite).

Driver was updated to 00.00.03.21 and PERC firmware to 6.1.1-0047 with
no apparent problems.

>From the OMSA GUI, I selected "Unassign Global Hot Spare" on the drive
so assigned. I saw a corresponding syslog message:

"Server Administrator: Storage Service EventID: 2099 Global hot spare
unassigned: Physical Disk 0:0:3 Controller 0, Connector 0"

However, OMSA GUI still reports the drive as being assigned as a global
hot spare, as does 'omreport storage pdisk controller=0'

Subsequent attempts to unassign the disk as a hot spare using
'omconfig storage pdisk action=assignglobalhotspare assign=no
controller=0 pdisk=0:0:3'
result in a message "Unassign hot spare failed".

Advice or suggestions are welcome.
