Downloading RPMs for installing OpenManage on RHEL 4 and 5 boxes

I'd say so, yes.

But alternatively you may be able to use wget to create a mirror. I
believe there is a (set of) switch(es) to get wget to mirror a location
you specify. wget use ftp/http but is not as efficient in downloading
files. rsync will transfer only diffs, wget will just get the whole
enchilada over and over again. :)

You may also be able to specify a different proxy that does allow rsync,
by entering 'export http_proxy=http://your.new.proxy:port/' before doing
the rsync.

Chris.

Thanks, I missed that part when I read the page the first time.

However, due to some firewall issue I'm not able to use rsync.
So will I get the same effect if I simply download relevant packages
from for exampel
http://linux.dell.com/repo/hardware/OMSA_5.5/pe2950/rh50_64/srvadmin/?

			Thanks for the reply.

As far as I can see that page describes how to
connect to Dell's repository. What I'm in need of is downloading the
packages to my own repository, as most of our servers don't have access
to the internett. I guess I could manually download packages from the
repo, but don't know which ones I need.
