how do you upgrade the PERC6/i firmware?

I have a PE2900 with a PERC6/i. Went to support.dell.com, put in the
service tag of the system 38JZCH1. The PERC6/i firmware download link is:

http://support.dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/downloads/en/downloads_splash?c=ca&cs=rc1077931&l=en&s=gen&~mode=popup&file=279213

So I run it and it makes a directory with:

C:\Dell\Drivers\R200989>dir
Volume in drive C has no label.
 Volume Serial Number is 1C3B-BB17

 Directory of C:\Dell\Drivers\R200989

11/06/2008 09:44 AM <DIR> .
11/06/2008 09:44 AM <DIR> ..
09/28/2007 06:15 PM 265,396 dos4gw.exe
11/03/2005 02:25 PM 13,402 FIND.exe
10/07/2008 12:04 PM 1,966,080 FW528E.rom
09/28/2007 06:15 PM 335,852 MegaFl.exe
10/07/2008 04:52 PM 9,484 nocheck.bat
10/07/2008 04:52 PM 9,834 update.bat
06/17/1994 01:03 AM 3,380 XGREP.COM
               7 File(s) 2,603,428 bytes
               2 Dir(s) 2,750,205,952 bytes free

Ok, but that doesn't make a boot floppy, and is too large to fit on a
floppy anyway. So, I went to bootdisk.com to make a bootdisk, and then
realized my PE2900 doesn't have a floppy drive. So what are my
options? Make a DOS boot floppy, make an image of the boot floppy with
dd, and then burn that image to a CD and boot from the CD? and then
burn a CD with the files above and run update.bat?
