Hi Derek,
I am using PE2850 with 2GB of originally installed memory and 2GB of 3rd party memory. Works right from more than a year, no memory warnings or errors. I do not remember the brand, but I followed Dell guide and bought ECC, PC3200, 800MHz DIMMs. These points are important, you can not use non ECC memory on this server.
