Enquiry about Debian on newer machines

I don't *want* to run woody. They don't want to change version for specific in house reasons. Hence the impass. I want to know if anyone *has* gotten woody working.

Why would you want to run 'woody'? The latest stable Debian is Etch -
two versions after 'woody'. I would not want to run woody on a
production server. There are no longer security updates for woody.
