2. No, it will restart from the beginning again. You really need to let
it complete when in manual mode.

Hi all,

because the patrol reads took too much I/O, I disabled the automatic
patrol read (set it to manual mode) and I'm triggering it via cron. This
made me wonder:

1) The patrol read will read all disks/volumes, then stop, right?
2) If I stop the patrol read, will it start over from the beginning the
next time? I'd rather have the patrol read pick up where it was stopped,
so I could use low-load periods for patrol reading.

The system is a PE2900 with PERC5/i.
