Adding a second processor to my PowerEdge 1600SC running openSUSE 10.3

Good afternoon everyone. After installing a second processor in the
subject machine, the box won't even post. No beep codes, no Dell splash
screen, nothing. Just a blank screen and a power light. I've RTFM-ed
like a champ, and everything I've read suggests that such an
installation should be easy as pie.

The processors are identical. Both are 2.4GHz Xeons with 533MHz bus
speeds and 512KB of L2 cache. I've double checked both the BIOS and
motherboard for settings and/or jumpers that need to be configured prior
to adding a second processor. They are none that I can find. There
also doesn't appear to be a VRM that would need to be upgraded either.

The only difference I can see is the Intel sSpec numbers. Do these have
to match as well? Perhaps one of the Dell hardware folks can comment.

Many thanks.
