CentOS 5.1 + R300 + SAS 6 i/R

For those ahead of us :)

We are about to purchase a R300. Does "CentOS 5.1
+ R300 + SAS 6 i/R" install without the need to
recompile the kernel / add / remove drivers? Hard
disks in RAID 1 and using the i386 version (i.e.
does it recognise the SAS RAID vd). Its a
limitation of the operator really, nothing wrong
with linux :)
