disk monitoring

Hi All,
I'm trying to use omsa to monitor the disks on a poweredge 1900 under
linux (centos 5.1).
I installed srvadmin-all from yum and it seemed to work. omreport
recognizes the disks and shows the configurations. I set up some alerts
with omconfig system alertaction and they seem to work as well.
I then tried to set the alerts regarding the disks: pdiskwarn,
pdiskfail, vdiskwarn, vdiskfail... but for these I get an error:
Error! Hardware subsystem reports command failed.
The help says that these alerts are only available if the Storage
Management is installed. I thought I installed everything, what am I
missing?
Thanks, Daniel.
