PE2900 too noisy for office?

I'm looking for a new server for my home office; it should have a single
Core2 quad-core processor (or two dual-cores) of at least 2.5 GHz, 16 GB
memory and about half a dozen SATA drives of either 750GB or 1TB. My
existing servers are in the basement, and are too noisy to move. I rather
like the PE2900.
I have many PE2900 (original and III) servers in a computer room
environment (not at home), but several hundred machines make it impossible
to gauge how noisy they are individually. Are they (or a PE1900 in tower
form) quiet enought to use in an office environment? I saw the earlier
thread about 'quietest 1U rack server', but it didn't mention the PE2900
III, which are supposedly quieter (or at least, less noisy).
Thanks,
Steve
