Perc/5i "stuck" in degraded mode

Hi all,
I've recently had a Disk and battery fail in a PE2950 sever with a
Perc/5i controller. Both the parts have been replaced.
As part of this fault, I noticed the Dell server admin tools hadn't been
installed, so I went ahead and did that out of the dell repository.
On checking however, I'm finding the controller seems to be stuck in
degraded mode. All the elements attached to the controller are fine
(vdisk/pdisk/battery), but the overall state won't change.
A chap on the phone suggested deleting ESM logs, powering down and up
again - however it's a production server which I'm not keen on. I did
attempt to use the rescan command, but that doesn't seem to work with
this controller.
The only other thing is that it may be the versioning, though I'm a bit
reluctant to start messing with firmware at this point:
Controller PERC 5/i Integrated (Embedded)
Controllers
ID : 0
Status : Non-Critical
Name : PERC 5/i Integrated
Slot ID : Embedded
State : Degraded
Firmware Version : 5.0.1-0030
Minimum Required Firmware Version : 5.2.1-0060
Driver Version : 00.00.03.05
Minimum Required Driver Version : 00.00.03.13
Any suggestions appreciated, in the mean time I've modified my NMS not
to alarm on a degraded controller, only on the individual elements so
it's stop-gapped for now.
Thanks,
--Mike
