Question about drac5 and firefox 3

There's IEs4Mac which will run (well, limp) Windows IE6 using DarWine.
Not really recommended for production servers.
Have to say that requiring a non standard, browser specific plugin
seems wrong (and not worth the engineering effort to maintain). What's
wrong with Java?
