Ritesh,
I am also using SC440 with same config and Oracle installed and many other application installed. There is not problem at all.
Should be problem with hardware. Check your disks / SATA cable / RAM etc.

I have 2 identical SC440 boxes with RHEL4 on it. Both boxes have 1 80GB SATA drive and 1 250GB SATA drives. The OS is on drive 1 and software install on drive 2. After heavy IO activity the filesystem gets corrupted.
First sign of this is simple commands like ls, grep start doing segmentation faults because the binaries are corrupted. After this attempts to boot the box are unsuccessful.
I can duplicate this issue by just reattempting the heavy IO operation (Oracle Applications install). Any suggestions on how to go about debugging this problem? /var/log/messages does not have any hints.
