BIOS upgrade problem

Ok, finally I managed to solve this. In my case, the reboot=bios kernel param 
isn't needed at all. I mean, if I put it, it hangs on reboot. If I don't use 
it, reboot works fine and even the BIOS update works fine!

So maybe the difference between me and Jared it's that Jared's machines are 
PE2950 III, while mines are PE2950 first serie (he had BIOS version 2.0.1 
while I had 1.3.7).
Could this explain this strange issue?
