UPDATE - scsi_mod probing LUNs (again)

Can you attach dmesg logs?

Can you also try rebooting the tape library? Though it may not be
necessary just checking.

I just noticed this:

[root at badserver ~]$ cat /sys/module/scsi_mod/max_luns
1

where on the one that works:

[root at goodserver ~]$ cat /sys/module/scsi_mod/max_luns
254


So with:

[root at badserver ~]$ grep scsi_mod /etc/modprobe.conf options scsi_mod
max_luns=254

remaking the initrd and rebooting, the option is not taking effect.

Any ideas?
