exactly what I found. You will have to install mpt-status and then run:-
||mpt-status --autoload

As to the original issue I do find Dell to be extremely difficult to
deal with when you do not run a supported system. When I say I am
running FreeBSD it usually gets a very blank response. I was once asked
if I could install Windows on a production server running FreeBSD when
one of the disks had gone and the cmd util clearly stated it was broke.
Still, I imagine we all buy Dell for the price rather than the support....||
