Installation of Dell network driver from dell-hardware-auto-repository on CentOS 5

Exactly.
I already told dell support about this problem two months ago when EL 
5.2 was released. Nothing happened.

And I reported another problem;
The way DKMS works you will not get your modules build automatically 
once you install an update kernel.
DKMS just symlinks modules build for the former kernel in the 
'/lib/modules/[new kernel]/weak-updates' directory.

Problem is, EL5 unlike EL4 does not use this directory anymore if it 
already finds another/older module in the directories.
These modules take precedence over "weak-updates".
