Hi, I have a remote 1950 that has a degraded drive, while looking at this
server through OMSA I noticed that it was complaining about the Perc
firmware version.
Current version: PERC 5/i IntegratedEmbedded Degraded 5.1.1-0040
It's telling me to upgraded to 5.2.1-006000.00.03.10 00.00.03.13
The problem is in the past I used to upgraded using a disk but this server
doesn't have one, only a CD drive or USB. Looking at the file below and
instructions I noticed that I should be able to download it to my server,
running centos 5, and run it.
Its this a save way of doing it and will it require the server to reboot, or
should I reboot it?
Also I think I have to have the bios version A07, although I tried looking
in OMSA for this information and couldn't find it. The closest thing I got
for Bios info was
Manufacturer Dell Inc.
Version 1.2.0
