Boot a CentOS rescue environment. Mount a NFS server. dd the disk to
an image on the NFS server.
The CentOS disk will support the SAS controller in the 1950/2950.
As for going SAS to SCSI it will probably work if the disks are the
same size but you will probably have all sorts of hardware differences
in the boxes. Dell hasn't shipped a SCSI server in ages.
