Are DRAC5 Firefox plugins supposed to work?

Thanks to all who replied to this and to the "Re: DRAC5 remote console
and non-ActiveX web browser" thread.
I tried installing the XPI as root (on Solaris 10 Firefox 2 - ick) and
it bombed off with the same error, and also did me the favor of
corrupting my default Firefox profile and bookmarks.
The next step is to figure out how to manually extract the .so file
from the XPI and manually install it, like we used to do with Java and
Flash in the old days. I won't get to it this week, but if someone else
has given this a try, it might work.
It also might be worth noting that the DRAC 5 runs some variant of VNC
- my Windows RealVNC viewer 4.1 can connect but nothing happens, and
the Solaris 10 Real VNC viewer 4.1.1 tries to connect but crashes my
Gnome desktop. Maybe some favored versions of some VNC variant work.
