Hi!
Thanks, yes I can see the ultrium 2 and PV124T in /proc/scsi/scsi,
actually I can send and retrieve data from the tape in the drive but I
can't change tapes from other slots,
It's a brand new 1950,
Best regards,

Hi!
Has anyone installed EMC Networker on RHEL 4 with a Dell PV 124T? the
tape autoloader is connected to a 2950 via SCSI
I've used tar and mt succesfully but I can 't use the autoloader (maybe
I need mtx command?)
BR,

I have never installed Networker in RHEL4, but I have used the changer
on RHEL3 and RHEL5. Do you see the 124T and the Tape Drive when you cat
/proc/scsi/scsi ? If not you need to rescan the bus to see it. This
guide explains the issue, but for 2.4 based kernels for 2.6 I do the
following.
http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/stor-sys/124T/en/124tlto3/install.
htm#enabling_lun_linux
echo "- - -" > /sys/class/scsi_host/host3/scan
Here host3 is my scsi card, check dmesg |grep scsi for yours. Our 2950
came with the LSI53C1030 based card.
