(lsusb) did not claim interface (esx 3.0.2)

I get this error on the console and in the messages file after I reboot
a newly configured PE2900 running VMWARE esx 3.0.2.
I saw references to other posts on the web, but no real solution.  Can
this be ignored, or do i need to do something.
