DKMS Question

Hi All:

I have a PE2900 with the PERC5/e controller. As mentioned in the other 
thread that has been going on, there's an updated driver from Dell for 
this card. I'm seeing pretty awful performance from this card (as other 
people are seeing) so I'd like to update the driver.

I don't have DKMS installed. What's the best, and least destructive way, 
of updating the driver and/or getting DKMS installed?

This box holds a ton of production VM's shared via NFS, so taking it 
down and having it down for any extended period of time would be bad.
