The easiest way would probably be OMSA and SNMP.

Subject: Scan multiple servers for out-of-date BIOS/firmware

Hi,

We've a bunch of PowerEdge 1850 and 1950 servers running different
operating systems: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3 and 4, Windows Server
2003 and VMware ESX Server 3.

We only have remote access to them: SSH for Linux and RDP for Windows
and all servers have a DRAC.

What is the best way to scan all the servers for out-of-date BIOS and
firmware (BMC, SCSI/SAS controllers, DRAC, etc.) versions?

And after locating the servers that need updates, what is the best way
to apply them?

Thanks.
