LSI FW Update Fails

tried to update firmware versions on a PE1750.
Bios worked flawlessly, but PERC 4/Di doesn't:
 
# update_firmware --yes
 
Searching storage directory for available BIOS updates...
 
Checking System BIOS for PowerEdge 1750 - a12
        Available: system_bios(ven_0x1028_dev_0x014a) - a12
        Did not find a newer package to install that meets all
installation checks.
Checking PERC 4/Di - 422a
        Available:
pci_firmware(ven_0x1028_dev_0x000f_subven_0x1028_subdev_0x014a) - 252d
        Available:
pci_firmware(ven_0x1028_dev_0x000f_subven_0x1028_subdev_0x014a) - 422d
        Found Update:
pci_firmware(ven_0x1028_dev_0x000f_subven_0x1028_subdev_0x014a) - 422d
 
Found firmware which needs to be updated.
 
Running updates...

The error message from the low-level command was:
(here is no message, only blank lines)

 
Any hint would be greatly appreciated. System is remotely and I try to
update by ssh.
