Hi,
I have installed OMSA 5.3 to CentOS 5.1 machine. The Dell Open Manage
Server Administrator works fluently and all the information can be
browsed. The problem is when trying to get the information using SNMP. I
can get e.g. processors but nothing related to fans or temperatures.
The command
snmpwalk -v2c -c public localhost .1.3.6.1.4.1.674.10892.1
Gives:
SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.674.10892.1 = No Such Object available on this
agent at this OID
I have installed the OMSA 5.3 using yum repositories and as well tested
the whole installation procedure manually. Both gave same problem.
The yum repository installation changed the snmpd.conf correctly, so
"smuxpeer .1.3.6.1.4.1.674.10892.1" row is in place (snmpd is restarted,
as well the whole machine is booted).
Any tips what I should try to get the HW information to be available for
SNMP ? Would the RHEL 5 installation fix this kind of problem ?
Thanks a lot for any help,
-Mika
